Hi just looking for a bit of advice. I recently bought a D7100 and a few lenses for a few small weddings I have been asked to shoot. However after reading loads of reviews etc I also went out and bought a D600 and a 24-70mm 2.8 nikon lens. Today the D7100 started playing up so I took it back to the shop to see if they could fix it for me, but because it was only a few days old they offered an exchange or refund and as they had no more in stock I took the refund.
I am now thinking about adding to this and purchasing a better lens for the D600. I am thinking either a 14-24mm 2.8 nikon or a 70-200mm 2.8 nikon and just wondered if anyone had any experience with either lens?

I seem to be drawn to the f2.8 as I would expect this to give me better pictures inside a low lit church for example, is the difference between 2.8 and 4 worth all the extra cash? I only ask as there is a nikon 16-35mm f4 for £500 less than the 2.8.

Sorry for such an amateur question but am just starting out and want to make sure I offer the best I can.

Well, all 3 lenses you say are very good - the 16-35 is probably more useable unless you need super wide, and IQ very close. Yes, 2.8 may be nice at times, but an extra stop ISO on a D600 isnt much on those rare occasions.

70-200 is a wonderful lens though, recommend that!
