They will more than do you, excellent pieces of kit, should last you many years too :)
 
And yes, they will certainly do for portraits.
I was asked a while ago to compare the SmartFlash in use at the studio and in a home setup. It was done to see if similar results could be obtained from both environments.

I'll happily answer any specific questions when Iget back, but if I just tell you that it's wonderful and that you should buy it, someone will accuse me of pimping - there are plenty of people on here who can tell you about their own experiences, so maybe it's best to leave it to them.

Having said that, the configuration you have in mind, with 1 softbox and 1 umbrella, is ideal for you, whether it's Lencarta or another make.

The site is currently under maintenance in some areas, hence the link not working. I think the whole product range is currently off line whilst the cart system is being "tweaked".
