Hi

Just bought a lencarta smartflash 200

Im hoping it will be a good hom studio flash and sit happily beside my various other strobes and flashes (might even fit that big softbox on it :))

Any tips on use from you guys who already use one? does it take softboxes and things well?

Guess im wondering if you are happy with the colour balance, consistency of power between shots etc.. and also if i need to be aware of anything regarding triggers, power dumping, and life expectancy on the flash tube.

Just get on and use it - Smartflash is a great head for the money. One light is all you need for a wide variety of subjects and effects, plus a reflector, and is the best way to learn.

It will take any modifier you like, and that will have far more effect on your images than the head itself. Plus how you use it of course - good studio photography is much more about knowledge and skill than it is about kit.

The flash tube will last forever unless you drop it on its nose.

If you have any problems, post some images up here. Good luck!
