Hi guys,

Picked up some lovely Lencarta SmartFlash 200s heads from the forum, but can't seem to get them to communicate with my Canon 40D. I've run the flash cable included with the heads, but the camera doesn't recognise any off camera flash. I also have a set of cheapie wireless triggers: like these (http://goo.gl/RtWu1a) which I'd ideally like to use to keep everything cable less. Can I just purchase a lead like here (http://goo.gl/cwENMV) and plug this in to the studio head (standard included cable is too narrow) and then fire the flash/es from the remote as if it was a flash gun?

Thanks

Cameras do not normally recognise off camera flash, all that happens is that the camera sends a signal to fire.

There's no recogition, just firing. The base of your transmitter has a single pin, it only understands 'fire now' and there's no pins to tell the camera menu system what's attached. Just put the camera in manual and set your flash output and exposure to suit.

Aha figured it out, not sure how I go so confused before. All working remotely now

Thanks all
