Hi i am looking at the lencarta sf range to capture moving shots in the studio. Looking at doing something with water. I understand that the lower the power of these lights the quicker the duration so it will freeze the movement which i want. The question is will the 300 be suitable or shall i go for 600 so i can keep the power low?

The lights will either have a 70cm beauty dish attached or 150cm/120cm octa. Also be about 6-8 ft away from model.

Thanks in Advance

Effectively, they're the same unless you need more than 300 Ws, in which case you need the 600.
In other words, the 300 turned down to say 1/64th power will produce exactly the same performance/results as the 600 at 1/128th power

As Garry says, the SF600 performs just like the SF300, but with an extra stop of output (at a longer duration). Basically, for a given brightness, the flash durations are the same. Just the job for watery stuff - some demo videos on Lencarta website. Very good heads for general studio work too, with none of the dodgy colour shifts you sometimes get with IGBT-type units.
