Hi all,I recently acquired a pair of calumet genesis 200 strobes but unfortunately broke the sync port on one and now have to use it with the optical sensor covered if I want to use my triggers. In light of this I now have my beady eyes on the lencarta UP300s with the commander and also a second hand mint set of Dlite 4s with the skyport controller.I cant seem to find any bad reports on either the UPs or Dlites but of course this depends on how much the Dlites will be.Assuming the money will be similar for either option what would you go for, pros cons etc,any tips much appreciated

if you're on a budget, long term the Lencartas will be cheaper, as the Elinchrom light modifiers are generally more expensive, so you need to think about that, however, imho I think they're better. The Skyport can be very handy too.

Genuine Elinchrom modifiers are expensive, on a par with genuine Bowens modifiers, but that doesn't mean the third party stuff is any more expensive. Don't make a decision based on the mount, but features, power, long term investment, resale value, flash duration, back up etc.
