Lencarta "2 in 1" Umbrella

I wanted to change my umbrella from "reflective" to "shoot through", so I've removed all the "end caps" from the ends, but can't work out how to take the black cover off, as it seems fixed to the centre piece.

Anybody have any ideas ?

The only 2 in 1 I've got is a 46" Calumet. That has the same end caps but the centre of the umbrella has a simple chromed ring that just goes over the spike of the umbrella, so the silver/black cover just falls off when all the caps are removed.

Thanks guys, the ring was just very tight. I've now got everything set up in the garage again, ready for some shooting tomorrow afternoon.
