Yes
I was at my parent's house today, and asked for a look at my dad's Leicaflex SL.
He came downstairs with it, and an R4 as well which I forgot he had.
I didn't like the R4 much, too many controls I thought, but the Leicaflex had just what was needed on it. The viewfinder was very good, large and bright, and I could see the whole view with my glasses on!

He also had 2 50mm Summicrons, a 28mm, 90mm, and 135mm. Can't remember what the last 3 were called, think the teles might have been Elmarits. My dad was going to give the lot to me. I told him no, but I might borrow the Leicaflex SL sometime.

He hasn't used them for years, and they could do with a bit of a clean on the bodies. The R4 needs new light seals, and the motordrive unit looking at, so how much would it cost for a clean and service, and does anyone of repute still work on these cameras?

Cheers
Garry

I have an SL with the original red lens release still on it. I like the lenses and am lucky to be able to use them on my Olympus and Panasonic 4/3 cameras!

My dad's has still got the red release button as well!
Do you need an adaptor to use the lenses on 4/3 cameras? I was thinking of getting an Olympus EPL1 or 2 sometime.

If you don't want them, he could give them to me! ;)

I've just bought a R7 to replace my faulty R4 but I only have one Leitz lens, a 28mm. I could do with a 50 or a 90 or a 135mm. :)
