Just on the off chance some one has some expertise on this.
We have just realised that we haven't had a renewal reminder from Legal and General for our tenants liability insurance, which expired today. We knew it was due soon, but in spite of the expiry date, we didn't move in until June and had forgotten how early it came round for renewal.
There is no phone support on Sundays, and I don't suppose they will be open tomorrow because of the bank holiday. Additionally, having gone to their web site, there seems to be no mention of them even doing tenants liability insurance.
. I find it hard to believe that they might have actually stopped doing tenants liability insurance, and just not let us know, so I am assuming it's just the reminder that has been lost in the post, and that they don't follow it up, if you don't renew.
My wife actually deals with these things and she's really upset, and a bit worried, about not picking up on this, she is a bit fanatical about making sure these sorts of things are managed correctly. I am as well, which is why my wife is in charge as she does it so much better than I ever did.
Hopefully, we will be able to just renew it over the phone on Tuesday, but other than just wait until Tuesday, does anyone have any wise words they would like to share.
Edit: just noticed that two years ago my wife scribbled a not under the Legal and General documents "Liverpool Insurance" so even though subsequent paperwork has come from Legal and General, have some of their products been handed over to Liverpool Insurance? Now googling.
Edit 2: Doesn't really matter, but sake of clarity, we have found the letter from L&G (My wife files everything) saying the policy will now be handled by Liverpool Victoria, but we have had no contact from Liverpool Victoria. However, we now know it's Liverpool Victoria we will need to contact on Tuesday.
