Only got a nifty fifty, so here goes with my rules;

1. 50mm f/1.8 - all shots wide open
2. 5 shots per week
3. all shots to be taken in my showroom

This could be pretty monotonous with all shots being taken in 1 location, so the challenge is on to try and get some variety in there. Here goes nothing :gag:

ok here goes... took a few shots yesterday but encountered problems with fluorescent lighting in that it put a green cast on any shots i took above 1/125th. Sorted it out now and here's my first posts!

As i mentioned, all the shots i take will be within my showroom and all wide open at f/1.8 on the 50mm. So it's all about composition and finding angles that you wouldn't normally view from.

I'm thinking that I quite like look of your showroom :D

Love the creamy colors & DOF in the 1st shot...maybe my eyes but seems to tilt to the right slightly ?

Was gonna mention the tilt in the 2nd one but you'd already it...nice perspective on the main part...fire lit would've been the finishing touch :)

Bracket on chair could do with cloning out....

yes both imaginative shots Leigh,

I would clone the bracket out as thats the first thing I noticed also the vase and feather thingies are a bit distracting

#2 a clear shot of the chair would be good as its partly covered by the card things

other than mentioned fab shots :thumbs:
 
I like No2.....looks classy. I presume the card things are tile samples? I would shift them and re-take.

Is this a bathroom showroom?
 
Wonk schmonk. They look fine to me.

I do find that tiny black blob (leg bracket?) on the chair distracting from the creme as Dave said, and also the tile samples (?) to the left could do with being shifted.

Basically - what they said above :)

cheers people.. much appreciated. Funny thing about the bracket on the chair... i took a couple from a lower perspective and the chair is totally black underneath so i thought... ooh no, that's no good.. and then i didn't even notice the black bit i left in on this one :bonk:

i'll see what i come up with tomorrow

frazzle razzle...tis a good image...n ot one for the wall though unless you site it opposite that "special" chair... the really uncomfortable one that doesnt encourage unwanted visitors to get comfortable :)

Do people buy furniture like that ? I guess the good thing is when you sit on it you don't have to look at it...:)

i don't really sell the furniture, i just bought it to kit out the room sets to try and make it easier for people to envisage the tiles in-situ. I could never have that chair at home, it looks ok in the room, but when you get close up :gag:

no grout on these mosaic samples.. it's the minimalist look :lol:

i'm having a day off today to go and play golf in this lovely :gag: weather!
 
No 2 for the chair and stove combo for me too :thumbs: Would be even better if the stripey chair wasn't there though :)

that's the bit was bugging me.. that pesky stripey chair! :D
 
Perhaps burning stripy chair and fire brigade could add some variety? :D
 
3-2-1... aaaaand... back in the room! Wow... haven't the days flown by! Been manic busy last few days, but managed to get a couple yesterday (or was it the day before?) it's all a blur :lol:

it was starting to wind me up by that point! i was conscious i've not submitted anything for a few days and this was taken at 6.25pm last night... took me about 15 attempts to get the focus somewhere around my chops. :lol:
