My working area for my still life photography is small and I am finding that the studio head and soft box i use it a little to big for the working area.

I was thinking of changing these for some LED Video Lights either 126 or 160 LED ones.

Has anyone any experience in using this type of lighting setup for doing small still life photography.

This is an example of the type of still life I like to create

Big lights = soft light. Smaller lights will create harder light therefore more defined shadows.... So you need to consider that too

What Jim said, it's relative size, so you need a large panel. Once you have bought or created a panel large enough, have you spent too much or taken up as much space as a softbox?

I'd be thinking of Gobos or flags to create an interesting shape to the light, arched window? Window bars?
