Hi All,

I am hoping get a LED panel or two that can be powered by Canon LP-E6 as I have a handful of them, and as Canon seem to be limiting their new cameras to only work with the new batteries. I want to use my older LP-E6's, and the few third party ones I own.

I am looking for LED panels over 150 LEDS plus and apx 20cm to 30cm which should give me some so very good general use out of them.

All advice is welcome, and greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

T

The only one that comes to mind is the Mcoplus 168A which I think uses LPE6 (not sure) Most use Sony batteries I think. I've not used the Mcoplus light, but do have a few of their flashguns, all work great.

I have one 600 panel led light bought a while ago to have some play and it is almost useless other than a bounce fill or background light.

There is a reason the whole world has moved on to round Bowens mount lights or these huge flexible panels which are like bigger than most soft boxes. When a strobe modelling light is outdoing that panel you know you wasted your money and time.

I did use it as a practical room light for a while bouncing it into a corner until I sorted out overhead hanging one. Can't stand dark cave like interiors with a bulb shining right to your face

If I ever did get large LED light panels it would be mains powered. Any battery powered lights will struggle to put out sufficient power to over power sun light out side.

Just a quick reality check, this will require cobs well into three figure w numbers, if not four... Typically somewhere around £1 for every W... Video is expensive hobby or business
