Just nipped into LCE and got the Leofoto mr q 324.
£500 off, not that I’d pay £899 for it, but at £399 it’s a pretty decent priced tripod kit.

Wow okay so an even better deal, bit of an impulse buy so didn’t shop around, but the guy was helpful. I’m sure I’ve paid more for inferior kit.

As is often the case, huge savings on RRP are often indicative that something is never actually sold at RRP (A certain large online seller, named after a large river, is particularly keen on this tactic).

Yeah agree - kind of what I meant by saying I’d never pay 899 for it.

Slightly off topic… I wanted a single tripod that was good and light for macro (ie ability to reverse centre column) and quick swap it out for a levelling base and fluid head for wildlife. This seemed a great price for an all in one solution with a bit of quality about it

Still a great buy, I feel like the leofoto is a great alternative to gitzo which I used to have but they just priced themselves way out of the market IMHO
