LCE - are prices fixed?

Just a quick question, if I have an eye on one of their used products but think the price is a tad high...

Has anyone ever had luck having a quick chat with them to get the price down a bit? Will they negotiate?

I suppose it depends on the branch...you could always try - I've found them to be receptive to negotiations where I've chosen to do so.

This - but usually based on the fact that you are a repeat customer, or at least potentially a profitable customer in the long term. I have an excellent relationship with my local LCE in Southampton over about the last 7 years since I moved to Nikon. Lot of money spent with them, always first refusal for my business, and a very good mutual understanding.

My local branch (Leamington) are very accommodating indeed.. Having a good repor is essential.

The nottingham branch has previously been abit flexible in the price, both on new and second hand kit in the past. No harm in asking.

Yep, I've negotiated price and Lincoln and one online - I forget which now - just have a good reason rather than you just want it cheaper.

In case anyone is on tenterhooks they wouldn't budge and I took my business elsewhere!
