Not particularly inspired I'm afraid, but the best I can manage at the moment. I did want to show more movement in the knife but after playing with various flash settings and shutter speeds on my camera I gave up !

Nice colours, and a decent clean shot overall! What's REALLY bugging me are the plug sockets.......not sure why you left them in the frame?

Good effort though!

Good effort hate the sockets though

Are you making a Lasagne :lol: with courgettes?

Lovely to see a man cooking - I wish!!!!

Thanks for all your comments.

Yeah, I'm not keen on the sockets myself !! If I had good photoshop skills I'd clone them out. I couldn't find an angle to take the shot without including them I'm afraid.

And Briony - I'm afraid I don't cook :)

Cheeky! I do all the cooking in our house. Won't let wifey near the kitchen. ;)

I quite like this as an idea too. Agree about the sockets though.

I really like this - great contrast and colours, and other than the plug sockets, a fairly simple composition. Nice one.

Good effort Andy, I find the reflections in the scale pan interesting, using this as more of a focus, especially with the fisheye effect would have made the shot more funky and would have solved the plug socket issue.

That's a great idea Chris. I may give that a try next time I get my gear out

agree with comments above about the sockets.. simple composition but works very well.. nicely processed, like the pepper reflected in the scale pan
