Im looking to get a couple of large (possible 1.5m) stripboxes to fit my Elinchrom Quadras. I'm just cautious of the durability of the light constructon, and the amount of light the heads give out. Just wondering what size of strips other quadra users have in use?

They fit directly on the Lastolite hotrod stripboxes with an small Lastolite adaptor ring. If you go for a studio stripbox like the Lencarta or Elinchrom then you will need the Elinchrom Quadra adaptor ring. The adaptor fits on the lightstand and takes all the weight.

Regards...

^^^ Yes.

Interesting guys...thanks for the advice. So I'm guessing you use the quadras yourself? What is the largest softbox you've used on them?

Lencarta Profold 100x70. With the EL adapter, it's as strong as most others really.

I used to have a 50 x 130 on mine, with no problem.

Because of the way the adapter works, you're able to fit any Elinchrom light modifier without worrying about breaking your light.
