My uni course is nearly over and I have to exhibit a piece of work for all to see. The hanging spaces were given out randomly and I was lucky to get a section that is 2.4 metres wide.

My piece is a seascape and I would love to have it as wide as possible.

I would appreciate ideas and suggestions on how big I can print and where from. Where I could frame it or even alternatives to framing.

The photo was taken with a d3x so hopefully upsizing wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks in advance.

Have been looking at something similar for my lounge, the trouble I have found with aluminium is most people print to paper and the stick it on. Pocket and photo lounge print straight to the aluminium which in theory should give a much better effect albeit a lot more expensive.

Not sure if I'm going ahead now due to the expense as more than likely going to be ordering a new lens instead :)

Thought I'd keep this going as it may be useful to someone in the future.

I have found a company called white wall who look like they can give me what I am after.

Their prices seem within my budget and I have emailed them an image to see what finish they would recommend.

A 60 x 40 inch original phot print on aluminium is £247 inc vat

Placed the order with Whitewall today. It was a bit of a hassle to make payment until I realised that because they are based in Germany my Maestro card wouldn't work, even though it was an option on the payment screen. Ended up paying through Paypal.

I ordered a 62" x 40" original photo print under acrylic glass and 2 28"x 18" original photoprints on aluminium.

I was impressed by the way they can provide any size of print without the usual hassle, its simply a case of moving a slider. The price is based on the total area of the prints.

Delivery in 10 days or so.
