I am looking at printing some photos at around 10x15 or 12x18 inch size. I may also try one or two panoramic prints. I will try to submit them to the galleries and local shops in Clifton and Bristol centre. I would also want to sell large portrait prints to my clients (when they find me ).

What are the best affordable on-line printing services? Where could I get frames cheap in these sizes? What about matting (ie. to prevent the print touching the glass which I know is a bad idea)

Thank you. :)

You want to impress galleries, shops and clients with your large framed prints? Then your first consideration should be quality not 'affordable' and 'cheap'!

DSCL definitely for both quality & pricing with prints....framing is a bit more difficult, cheap frames are usually not great quality - I'm still on the search myself

Nowt wrong with Ikea frames - simple, elegant and don't distract from the print.
I've currently got an exhibition hanging using 30 of their 50x70 and 70x100 frames.
Ikea frames come with mounts but the mount aspect ratio doesn't even come close to a full frame image so I use mounts ordered from Cotswold Mounts.
Even if I say so myself the overall impression at the exhibition is spot-on - here's a piccie of one corner of the exhibition.

A large print at best quality is rather a large file to upload.
I use Picselation near Wells for my printing as I can drive over there with a CD.
The prints match my calibrated screen and the quality is great.
