Hi, this is perhaps a silly question,:help: but is there a correct or optimum viewing angle for a laptop screen? Or indeed a desktop monitor? I ask as colours/brightness etc change with the angle of view, so if I feel I've got an image right on my screen, does it look that way on another if viewed at a different angle?

The vast majority of screens are designed to be viewed at straight on to the center of the display. The viewing angles are measured from this position

With a laptop it can be tricky but try to keep the angle as close to 90deg as possible. With my desktop it's not such as problem as the greater distance means differences in head position change the angle less - the further away you can sit the better really (said he typing this on a laptop on his lap:lol: )

Thanks guys, and thanks for the link photostar - I must admit I didn't search very hard prior to posting. Being new to image manipulation it's a great confidence boost to know I can at least view my screen correctly! thanks again..:)
