In giving this lens some thought about maybe it being my next purchase and the online reviews being reasonably positive, I would find it really helpful having any feedback from anyone who has actually bought and used one. I use a Nikon Z6ii with a 24-70 S and the 14-30mm, so am looking at medium telephoto length being handy but mainly for macro work.

Thanks in advance

I have used this lens or maybe the earlier CA Dreamer version, (Nikon F mount), for flowers and insects - I'd say it's very good but as it's manual focus it's slower to use than say the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR Macro.
Macro work
To get good macro shots I need to take my time so with a lot of "macro"/close up images flowers I have tended to "stack" images to get the best results because of the shallow DOF when you are close - 99% of the time I've used a strong tripod and flash/Nikon R1C1 or a Speedlight with a home made defuser to improve/control the lighting.
Other
I have only used this lens for macro/close up work - for any other subjects I would use either the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR or the Nikon 105mm f1.4 VR

I don't fiind manual focus to be a problem for high resolution, or even focus stacking; but you will not be able to take advantage of the automated focus shift shooting capability of the Z6II.
