Landscapes in Cloudy Conditions

Hi I was trying to take landscapes in cloudy conditions and the results were not very impressive. there was a lot of noise in the images. I used a Canon 7D with a canon 50mm f/1.8 lens to get the shot.

I'll really appreciate some help with the correct settings for future.....

Hi welcome to TP
I'm guessing the 7D has underexposed the shot because of the bright sky and the noise is where you have tried to recover the shadow detail in post-processing????
If you can get your head around posting an image that would be brilliant.

Would like to help Manvir but I'm not really understanding the problem. Too much noise is usually due to very high ISO and I'm not sure why you would be doing that in your situation unless it was getting dark or something.

Can you post a pic with full camera settings Exif data?
