Back in April, I made a three-week or so visit to Nepal.

I was there working with a travel agent to see what could be done and if we could partner up for a few things.

The journey there was centred around going to the Upper Mustang district which borders Tibet. A district that requires a special permit to enter into it.

Did everything go smoothly? Nope. But then that’s half the fun of travel :)

Nice video with different perspectives on Mustag!

Mustang indeed has an amazing, colorful landscape for those interested in landscape photography. Being local, I have been lucky to be in the right place at the right moment for the best photography in Mustang.
While many follow the main touristy route to the walled city, there are many side hikes and explorations for the best photography.

Reflection of Mt Dhaulagiri (8,016 m 7th highest in the world) and Mt Tilicho

This is Titi Lake in the lower Mustang, where one can see the reflection of Mt Dhaulagiri and Tilicho Peak.

I tried to take a picture of the reflection of Nilgiri on Sekong Lake, but I never had good weather so far for sunset.

I also love the sand and rock cliffs of Upper Mustang, carved into bizarre shapes by wind and melting ice over centuries. These cliffs with different patches of colorful minerals, snow peaks, and farmlands below appear unique.
