Well done Simon, I also appear to have been shortlisted with two of my images, a long way to go though yet but fingers crossed for one appearing in the book.

Hello. Congrats. As a couple of pals and myself have a few images through too, I thought I'd email about this and the reply is:
Hi there.....

Sorry, but I can't give a precise answer. We are not being intentionally secretive, but some information we keep back for press releases when the results are announced and other information is confusing as the numbers in the shortlist do vary depending on the category. Some categories are more popular than others and standards may be higher and so more get through. The shortlist is a very small percentage of the total entry though.

Hope you manage to get to see the book & exhibition.

Just to let you know one of my images yes the one below has been commended by the judges and it will feature in the awards book out this coming Friday "Landscape Photographer of the Year 2008" and in the exhibition for all the winning and commended entries at The National Theatre which runs from 18th November 2008 till 17th January 2009

2 brilliant shots & well deserved....I was shortlisted too but unfortunately didn't make it any further, my 1st competition though so was pleased to just get shortlisted. Congrats Les F & Les M :thumbs:
