Landscape Gear

my main lens is the 24-70mm f/2.8 i have the 21mm zeiss and 14-24mm but the first is on the camera most of the time, i love my markins ballhead on a gitzo gt tripod, it holds the setup so steady its brill allthough i try to handhold as much as poss, i shoot on the wing mainly dont tend to spend all day in one postition

I'm too am just a beginner, finding time to get out there is the hardest part.
All this talk of FF and Zeiss lenses is enough to cause gear envy.
But I'm happy for now with my Fuji X-T10 and the 18-55mm kit lens, which is an incredibly sharp lens.
I spent what little money I had on some filters (ok so they are Cokin, but it's better then nothing, right?) and a carbon fibre tripod with Acra-Swiss ball head which works perfectly with the X-T10 camera grip. The remainder of my budget will be spent on a few days in the lakes camping :D

Don't overlook a telephoto for landscapes, and necessarily a sturdy tripod for it as well. I often prefer a telephoto as it flattens the view and brings a different perspective to things. I also enjoy using filters and ISO settings to get the shutter speed as long as possible to see the effects of the wind on the landscape and the sky. This photo was shot using a 100mm lens on my Fuji X-E1 (effective 150mm in 35mm full frame). An interesting point for me with this photo is tracing the wind currents in the trees in the foreground and mid ground as distinct paths of blurred leaves can be traced. Makes the photo for me interesting on several levels and adds to my continued enjoyment observing it.
