Hi chaps, I'll be visiting in hertfordshire/london surrounds next week from south africa and wondered what are the best landscape & cityscape opportunities are?

For city scapes anywhere in London along the Thames from Docklands to Vauxhall should give you good opportunities. In Hertfordshire you have the start of the Chilterns, although this might prove difficult to explore properly without your own transport.

From the Greenwich Observatory you have a nice view over Docklands/Thames/Canary Wharf skyscrapers

Walk along the South Bank between Tower Bridge and Waterloo Bridge for nice views of the city.

Hampstead Heath is also a good place for a view over the city.
