SteveLMX5 & Steveo_mcg need to be picked up at Penrith station on Friday afternoon and dropped back off there. May also need a trip to supermarket on way to hostel to purchase drinks! AndySnap to make arrangements with them.

I will also be sending out a PM as we need to fill in a fire register with names and addresses to give to the YHA in case of an emergency. I'll sort that out later.

Cheers

Thanks a lot Andy and CMS for putting this together. Without it I'm sure it would be a bit like an unruly school trip so it's really appreciated ;0)

As above, if whoever is being the helpful taxi driver could take a diversion to the nearest Supermarket from the station I'd appreciate it so I don't need to carry everything on the train.

Thanks again guys.
Steve

Please sir, are we allowed to bring flick knives and gats? Cos somebody said there might be wolves

I'm sure we'll do our best to turn it into an unruly school trip ;)

Like the man says, would the kind soul who is collecting us be so kind as to stop at a supermarket (that would be very kind). The Booths at Keswick is probably optimal, saves trying to manoeuvre round Penrith at rush hour (such as it is).

Oh. I was hoping for the unruly school trip too.

I take it that means wifi isn't an option :exit: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

*ticks another box on the list of myriad excuses to go to the pub*

Many thanks once again to @Andysnap and the CMS. Really appreciate all your hard work towards this trip!
I think we all know Andy is pretty much a passenger, it would appear the the CMS has been the driving force this whole venture and without all her hard work and diligence none of this would have happened.

How dare you... I've sorted out, erm, well, lots of stuff...... Like the thing, you know, the thing that we can't do without, yes that was it, I remember it now...the thing

I was getting full 4G mobile data on EE in the Keswick area, 60M down / 20M up from my campsite :)

Do you want our mobile phone numbers? Most of those who came to the Stratford meet should have mine already, and I have Andy's and Nick's, I think.

I think most folk have mine from the Edinburgh meet. Like wise I have most of the likely suspects.

The funny thing is, just mentioning NSA probably has you, and now me, on some hilarious watch list. I bet they have your number as well. That documentary on the BBC the other day was fascinating, though I bet it only hinted at scratching the surface.

Of course a gentleman with such a fully featured tinfoil hat would never be so foolish as to allow himself to be photographed wearing the device: that is clearly Steve's paid model used to protect his identity from those who are watching

At the risk of being ridiculed does anyone drink lager?

Rob Grange's time-lapse of the Aurora Borealis and Ashness Bridge taken last night I'm led to believe http://www.robgrange.com

I drink whatever's put in front of me Nick, I'm not fussy ;0)

I really hope we get to see some Aurora activity although I checked a site earlier and it's not predicting much below Scotland.

Preferably no over-chilled carbonated cow p*** for me... I'm hoping there is a decent loca(ish) bitter...

Pint of Wordsworth's please

(This is probably only funny if you've seen a little know, late 80's made for TV film called Coast to Coast staring Lenny Henry and John Shea)

I refer my learned friend to post #14 on the original thread

Just a few suggestions from me, all the following are fairly accessible and require little pre-trip training but participants should be aware that although getting to each destination should be reasonably straightforward and not too strenuous the return journey may significantly tougher.

Swinside Inn's web site is silent on the beer selection available, but I think it's likely to feature a choice of good stuff... and no doubt some over-watered got rut as well. :) Almost certainly no heavy though, Stephen!

Its murder getting a decent pint of heavy you know! I can basically settle for an old peculiar, though in all fairness English beer isn't as bad as it used to be.
