North England Lake District landscapes

I'm going to the lakes tomorrow for 2 nights staying in ambleside youth hostel. What would be the best places to go for sunrise shots that wouldn't take too long to get to from ambleside?

Not too far from Windermere. I personally like the boat from Windermere to Bowness, some good pictures there

Or Skelwith Force waterfall.

Oh...and good pubs in Hawksead near Ambleside!! 4 in a small hamlet makes an easy night out

Had a look and looks stunning. Close to so will be able to stay in bed a little longer

Is that in terms of looking out over Windermere from the boat moorings at bowness?

I quite liked the great intake. Its a bit further than loughrigg fell and more walking involved, though both are still up hill. If there is mist around loughrigg would be good.

I actually managed to get a picture of the hills behind as the boat was still sailing to Bowness
