I've just got my first real Digital and its a beezer D70s, with a couple of flashes (SB-26 and SB-24).
I'm having a blast with it, but for the moment I'm concentrating on self portraits at the moment till I get the confidence to do other stuff (with people or landscapes) Anyways, here's a link to my most recent effort. It's got some reasonably heavy PP, though most of it was achieved using the Fill Flash function in the RAW editor, followed up by layers the skin, hair and eye seperatrely with some curves on colours, various levels of sharpening and a little desaturation

Or as I prefer, a link to the full size horror:

Now, if you feel inclined, have a look through my other stuff that's up and you can decide if I've made progress so far, if not, then please hang around and I hope I can demonstrate some improvements!.

I like it, perhaps a little over processed though with some halos around the hair and the reflection in the right eye of the glasses is a little distracting.

Aye, I see what your saying. The halo on the hair seems to be less strong on my monitor than it does when it prints (need to calibrate my printer as it doesd everything a bit too red too)
Also, the beard is way to soft and blurry. Need to sort that out.

Cheers for the C&C :)

Here we go with the latest addition for this week and I'm being lazy. Well kind of. I accidently left my camera on ISO 800 so the shots came out grainy (and rubbish) But I decided to have a go anyway:

Here's what it looked like out of the camera

And with a little bit (ie lot) of PP

Not entirely sure what I'm aiming for here but I like the light personally.

I was a bit rushed so I had to post something that wasn't from my old set. So I used this. You'll notice that I'm sitting in my bath robe.
Also, with the PP it really highlights some spots on the wall where they used gloss to patch the paint and it's now all reflective. I'm working on a realiable way to fix this but every time I try and take it off in PP it just looks poop.
