Kodak 78-215MM Lens - Opinions?

I came across this lens in photography magazine (https://secure.hitech-uk.com/acatalog/Unbeatable_Canon_Fit_Kodak_Lens_Offer.html) and wondered why it was so cheap?

would it be good as a basic zoom lens for that cost, or would it be better to save the money toward something else?

Well it appears to be made by Tiffen but is not mentioned anywhere on their site. At that price it either works for you or you chuck it in the bin.

I have no experience with this lens, but its likely to be cheap for a reason. I saw this lens somewhere else being given away for next to nothing. I really wouldnt bother if I were you. Might as well buy a compact
