Got my first box of Kodachrome back from Dwayne's (via Switzerland) today and its awesome:eek:

Not sure it would suit everything (as is well documented) but I love it:

Very nice, I would perhaps clone the black dits on the wall top right.

Is it 25 or 64?

This is K64. I agree about the cloning, this is just a straight scan as I go through the other 24 exposures

I'm going to have to buy a lot more of this from 7dayshop I think

heres another. Shooting black and white on slide is hard, idk how wedding togs used to cope(unless they just didnt care and blew the whites?)

My favourite from the roll is just scanning now so in a few minutes another one

...and by the power of the edit button here it is:

I love the reds in this one :D

They expose for the whites don't they...?...I dunno, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than shoot a wedding..
I didn't notice with the first one, but these are mounted slides.
Did they have to be mounted ?
How did you go on with shipping, Dwayne's is in the US and the processing is done in Switzerland ?
Did you ship to Dwayne's for it to come back to the Swiss, back to Dwayne's and back to you..:suspect:...nah surely not

Its all process paid from 7dayshop.

You stick it in the nifty red and yellow bag, take it to the post office and hand over your 42p (i think it was) to send it to the Swiss gentleman with a giant moustache, who then sends it to Dwaynes in America where they smear it in Cheeseburger (the secret of Kodachrome processing doncha know:suspect:) process the film and return it to the moustache man who sends it back.

IDK if you can only have them mounted? they came in a nifty box though. Might be worth putting a little slip of paper in to ask if they can leave them unmounted?

Not bad though, for £6.50 you get film, processing and sent back to you, less than £7 all in with your stamp to the Swiss :cuckoo:

No, that's good, 24 or 36 and the big question......how long.
y'know, I'm nearly considering buy a 35mm camera just to shoot kodachrome..:cuckoo:

god I hate kodak

thats 36 exposure, took about 2 weeks but thats over christmas and new year so idk what the actual turnaround would be

I'll have to wait a bit for the next roll though as ISO 64 is a bit slow

I love my K64:love:. I shot a load of gorgeous slides in Tenby last October and bored stiff anybody who came within half a mile of our house by dragging them in to give them a slideshow. My dad robbed a beautiful Kodak 1970's Projector Of Doom from his school when it closed, it's a thing of utter beauty.

Now all I need is a scanner that bloody works so I can bore you lot stiff with them as well!!!!

Man Kodachrome looks lovely. My sister is a stable manager type person and would o nuts for those pictures. I'd have difficulty placing when they were taken though! Could have been yesterday, could have been 20 years ago! They give a lovely effect.

Sings

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, Oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away........

I'm glad to see it's still available. It was my favourite emulsion during the last decade.
It has excellent archive properties. I have Kodachrome slides shot in the 1950s and they still have natural and accurate colours, unlike Agfachrome CT18.
