Kobo Touch

Bought one of these the other day (£30 from Billy Smiths it would be daft not to)

Problem is I cannot find out how to get free Ebooks onto it. I can purchase them from the Kobo Shop and that works well but not the free ones from other sources.

I've tried dragging it onto the Kobo Desktop software and also straight onto the reader itself but nothing happens. I'm missing something here aren't I?

Also where do you download your books from? Free or otherwise.

I just browse for "free epub" staying well away from "iffy" sites. One of the ones I use is http://www.gutenberg.org/

To get them on the Kobo I just plug it in the PC, then drag-drop the epub onto it


Ps. The Kobo Desktop is only any good for stuff purchased direct from Kobo

PPs. Have a look for Calibre ebook manager & Adobe Digital Editions, it lets you manage your eReader & use DRM books from other sources ie Google Books etc (legaly)

If you have a library card they almost certainly have a site where you can download epub books for free.

Downloaded the Calibre software and it worked. Bit complex at first but I'll get used to it
