I'm fed up of 1&1 now. The ongoing issue with clock drift is down to their incompetence and original server image. Back ups aren't working well so there is no way I'm going to risk wiping the server and reinstalling which is their only solution!
Knownhost seem to have a good reputation. They're a bit more pricey than I want. I was looking at their sister company rocketvps but they don't offer plesk.
Limit cost wise is £45 a month and it needs loads of bandwidth (all back ups done via ftp) and reasonable amount of RAM (plesk is greedy). Disk space can be smaller 50GB or so.
Unmanaged is ok as long as it doesn't mean abandoned.
