I spotted this on my newsfeed

Perhaps that film will manage to get "the message" about the absolute need for caring for the environment "more out there"

In the article I noted some interesting aspects of dog walkers who praise the estate and great it is for dogs...... especially wild swimming in the estate ponds! The interviewee talks of the damage to the aquatic environment that can happen including due to tick treatment chemicals affecting the pond life :(

I visit Knepp frequently, it is a lovely place and so peaceful although can be very muddy in places
I was chatting to one of the volunteer wardens earlier this week, yes they do welcome dog walkers who have
control of their dogs, those that are allowed to just run riot do damage to ground nesting birds and chase the deer, pigs etc.
As for wild swimming, that is frowned upon too, as it states it causes damage to the pond's eco structure
Problem is they can't be everywhere so have to rely on people to do the right things.
It's a great place, they don't charge entry, just have an honesty box with a suggested donation for the car park and route maps
which are well marked when you are walking them
