Hi All,

After a lot of consideration I have decided to go for a Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM and will buying it this weekend, thanks for all the advice on the previous thread!

I now have a second issue can anybody think of a reason why I should keep my Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX DG?

I've really enjoyed owning/using this lens but I am just not convinced I would use it anymore.

Opinions appreciated!

Thanks

Whilst 2mm at the wide end is quite a bit more wide, I couldn't think of a reason why you'd realistically carry around both... unless maybe the 17-55 is a lot heavier (suspect it might be) but then again, when I have made choices like that on a day's holiday walkabout or something I've come back thinking my shots would have been better with the decent f2.8 glass....

See how you get on for a few months and then sell the old one if you don't use it? Its probably not going to decrease significantly in value by waiting...

Thanks for the comments.

Think I will most likely sell off the Sigma but will wait for the 17-55mm to arrive before I do, sad to see a trusty piece of kit go though!

Cheers

I just bought a siggy it aint light or little :D

I'd most likely move it on, I intend to use it as an ultrawide on FF
