Beginner Kingfisher behaviour

I would say it's unenforceable if that's the interpretation. With the prevalence of phone cameras if someone sees some unusual wildlife they will try and take a picture of it and share it. This also has a net benefit as it fosters a love for our native creatures.

I was also unaware of this covering such a wide variety of birds, so thanks for drawing attention to it. I was vaguely aware of there being a law protecting nest sites, but was thinking it would just cover things like Golden Eagles or the like, but had no idea it covered so much... I don't think any of us would intentionally disturb a nest site, but it's certainly worth knowing about. Maybe a sticky linking to info on the law?
