Hi,

Not sure if I am posting this in the right area so apologies if not and feel free to move if necessary.

I am hoping to go to Kimmeridge Bay for a sunrise this coming Sunday, 28th April 2013, and wondered if anyone can offer any advice with regards to car parking in the area.

From research, I understand that there is a privately owned car park fairly close to the beach and involves a toll charge to access it. Does anyone know what time this car park opens in a morning or where I can find this out?

Also, are there alternative car parks available if the private one is not available?

Thanks in advance.

There is a free car park at the top of the village too.

Seeing as kimmeridge is a very popular location for photographers, it makes sense for the car parks to be open early and late to accommodate for sunrise/set.

At a push you could always park in the village.

Hi Rob, you are quite right it does make sense.

Also, thank you for the advice about the free car park at the top of the village. I shall look out for it on Google Maps.

Thanks.

you can also park right down next to the bay, there is a small road that leads down. we go there most Christmas eve's for a BBQ. It's a recommended Nikon photography site.

go steady on the smooth rocks that lead into the sea !
