Kenko Pro 300 1.4x & Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM

Hi

Will the above combination work ok or should i pay a bit extra and get the sigma 1.4x?

It won't work.

You'll be able to physically connect them, but the metering will flip-flop between (say) f/4 and f/5.6 typically. Focusing will hunt but never lock.

I've never got Kenko TC's to play nicely with Sigma HSM lenses (120-300,70-200,100-300 and 150mm tested).

The Kenko will work on non-HSM screwdriven Sigma's only.
