kenko extension tubes...

hi,

i'm looking into getting some of the above,as i believe they will allow me to focus closer to the subject enabling me to pick up more detail on my chosen subjects.i will be using them with my sigma 105 macro lens...so,are they any good,and will it allow me to do the above?

I have these Stan and yes they are fine, I've had no problems with them and they've had a fair bit of use. My ones don't work with EF-s lenses but I believe the new one do.

thanks alby...so what are the main advantages of using the kenko tubes?

i will be using them on my sony alpha100 body......

They are auto tubes so you retain the functions between your lens and camera, the cheaper £10 fleabay jobbies don't allow this. The full set attached gives you 1:1 extra approx so on a sigma 105 you will get 2:1 instead of 1:1.
