Quite pleased with the Kenko 2x TC, I couldn't justify something more as it's only really for occasional trips to the Zoo, so I stuck it on my Nikon 70-200mm.

Learnt a few things on my first trip about keeping up the shutter speed and keeping down the ISO, a little more thinking to do when using a longer focal length.

Would you long lensers be happy with this?

Looks good, but just wondering why you used f/8?

Does the dgx affect corner sharpness?

Hey Jim, wide open aperture on the f2.8 lens with the TC is f5.6, I just figured f8 would be around the sharpest aperture following the normal step it down a couple from wide open.

Re corner sharpness, haven't really tested it I may have one of the rear end of an Elephant filling the frame so I guess we can see corner sharpness from that ;) will take a look.

Makes sense! I do find with my Kenko MC7 I have to use narrower apertures than I normally would as well.
