Keeping my car beautiful

OK - now having got my lovely C-Max I want to keep her looking good - and I can't do it myself .

With the Freelander I had a mobile service that used to come and it was good - even to the occasional sneaky check up visit from the Boss while the guys were at work on my car .

Sadly they appear to have gone out of business

I want her properly done and polished for the first visit and then regular washing and the occasional full 'do'. During his life my husband would wash cars weekly and T-Cut occasionally and do a Simonize Wax polish twice a year .

Terms like clay bar and detailing mean nothing to me

In simple terms please - what am I looking for ?

Any mobile valeting service would be cool ,look on Facebook local groups there’s usually loads advertising

There are hundreds of mobile detailers out there - if you post an area, someone might be able to give you a name. Also, is it a new, new car or new to you? There are sometimes treatments that can be applied to new cars through the dealer though I have no experience of these.

This thread may enlighten you to the terms, such as clay bar and snow foam, also there is a guy here that does "detailing" but without reading the whole thread, his name escapes me at the moment.
