hoping someone might be able to help me i'm new

i'm a diver and i like to take underwater photo's i took what appeared to be a reasonably good shot of a turtle but i'm having difficulty correcting the colour as i end up wwith a image that appears over exposed or leaving the turtle on the beach instead of under the sea. Can any one help.

bit un-nerving putting my photo's up here be gentle

You just need to play with the colour balance settings to remove the blue hue in PS or suchlike mate. This was just done in Paint Shop Pro on the gf's PC, I'm not too good with it and the size of the image makes it really hard, but you get the idea ............

looks like a lovely shot :) but I am a little confused. Are you trying to make it looks like it not in the water? or that is it under the water? if its the underwater options then I dont see anything wrong with your original shot to be honest, with your edit not looking bad at all either.

Definately underwater, i had been trying to get the true colour but by removing the blue to get the turtle more natural colour it makes it look like its on the beach.

I suspect my real problem is being to fussy i think i actually need a underwater flash to add light at the time of capture rather than adding it now.

I think it's one of my best pictures

Sorry about the size i think i linked to the preview of the pics on flickr
