Sorry for jumping in so late and i look forward to your comments and i cannot wait to learn so many new skills from you all and i look forward to your comments!

Nice to have you on board, mate. I like what you've done with your signature across the top to look like graffiti - works well. Can't decide if the selective colour works though as I feel it makes the basketball player the center of attention rather than yourself.

(still a naughty monkey!)

The entry is about "shoot" and so I wanted the basketball player the focus point
:)

Okay, that makes sense now. I'm a little slow at this time of the morning. ;)

Welcome to the "52s"!

It's a great idea and the selective colouring works well here. I would just like to see a little more contrast in the standing figure (?you) to make it stand out more from the background. It also looks slightly soft. May just be my monitor, though.

Hello
and thanks for your comments I will have another look at it tonight :)
thanks

Welcome aboard Karl, it's an interesting shot, and the colour pop works well... I think I have to agree with Chris on this one, and think it would probably be more on theme with just the wall art, sorry Karl no offence meant :D...

Thanks for the comments :)
no offence taken it's all a learning curve
I need to learn from you guys :)

 Karl and welcome to the 52.

I like this one a lot too
A few times through this year's 52 I've said that I don't particularly like selective colour, but there have been a few shots that have changed my mind.

This one has done more than change my mind. In this particular instance I think the selective colour is absolutely spot on. The image would have nowhere near as much impact either in colour or straight B&W.

Tracer has already picked up on my one niggle with the shot. I feel like you're disappearing into the wall a bit. I don't know if more contrast is the answer, but I'd like to see a bit more distinction somehow

Welcome to the 52.
I like this shot and think the selective colour works well.
Look forward to see the up and coming weeks

Welcome (belatedly!) aboard... Is there more to come?

Ian.

I think Karl's got the record as the shortest participation in a 52!
