KAISER Bulk Film Loader - Film Meter Counter Not Working (how to fix it)

Problem: During the film loading process, the film meter counter advances but returns automatically to zero right after a complete turn of the exposure counter wheel (36 exposures).

Cause: The spring that blocks in position the film meter counter wheel is loose.

Solution: Put back the spring in the right place. ;)

Here the how-to:

- Remove the 4 screws, be careful with the little one, it came out all together with the handle:

- It is not necessary to remove the spring from the axis to open the cover, leave it there:

- Remove the cover, do not worry, nothing is attached to it from the inside, it cames out easely, do not force it:

- Now notice at the top of the film meter counter, the metalic spring is out of place (out from the inverted "L" shaped brakets):

- Put back the spring in place and check that the plastic bolt is in the right position between the dents of the film meter counter wheel:

- Test it before assembling everything back.

And that's it., I hope this helps someone someday. :)

Hi Antoni, welcome to the forum. :welcome:

Unfortunately, this posting is nearly ten years old and the poster hasn't been on here for five years.

There were pictures showing originally, as the links direct to a Flickr account, but the pictures are no longer hosted there.

If you want details about this item, I'm sure there will be someone else amongst the membership that can help, so why not post a question? Maybe even introduce yourself in the Welcome section. :)
