Does anyone know what a Kaesemann polariser is?

Yes, I know that, but in what way is it different to a normal polariser....:bonk:

Basically it's sealed at the edges to stop moisture getting in. Usually quite a bit more expensive but useful if you were extensively shooting in a rain forest or really wet conditions. Otherwise probably not worth the extra.

Keep in mind that not only B+W offer Kaesmann CP .. Heliopan offer such CPs too!

So "kaesemann" is the German adjective for the ability to extract more cash from the punter than is strictly necessary, then?

Thats a shame. I picked up a LEE CP at Focus and used it this week. Big difference, much more even and brings the clouds out a treat.

OK to be more truthful, the effect is more even, it's just less pronounced (not as blatantly obvious) which is probably the whole point of get a top quality filter.
