Hi all, I am considering purchasing a set of nd filters and a cpl filter but am unsure whether to go for the traditional screw in type of the magnetic set.
Could anyone give me some advice please?
Many thanks

Which camera+lenses you were planning on using and what you might be shooting?
Are you're considering 6 and 10 stop ND filters for smoothing water etc. or grads for balancing sky and foreground?

I bought a Amazon basics circular polatiser for my 12-40mm f2.8 PRO Olympus camera - other than checking it worked (it does) then I don't think I've ever used it so I'm probably not going to give much useful advice ;)

I recently bought this CPL and this Variable ND, both from their magnetic range

Quality appears to be very good and they certainly stick like the proverbial to a blanket.
Not tried the ND out as yet, but the CPL appears to work as expected.
Bought mine direct from K&F in HK, cheaper than Amazon, price here to compare with my earlier link CPL and Variable ND
Delivery time was very good as were the tracking details and would happily buy from them again.

My daughter uses their combined CPL and Variable ND (non magnetic) 2 in 1 Combined
She has had it a while and seems to be very pleased with the results.

Hi, I’d primarily be using it on a Panasonic 14-140mm. With an Olympus m10 mk3.

I bought a set of K&F magnetic filters recently. For sure a solid purchase, I use the CPL far more than the 3,6,10 stop filters I also bought but all seem very good quality and I haven’t noticed much in the way of colour cast.

Thanks, that’s brilliant to hear. I’m mainly looking to purchase them for the cpl to start with but then giving me the option to move onto longer exposure water photography.

I have also got a Panasonic 100-300mm lens which I may or may not use the filters on, I have heard about step up/down rings.
Would I be better off purchasing the filters to fit that lens and then using the ring to step down to the 58mm 14-140.
If so what ring would I need?
Many thanks for the help. I’m away from home at the moment and haven’t got access to my gear to check the size of the 100-300lens.

Buy for the biggest filter thread lens you have and step down.

I also have a NISI square filter kit with landscape CPL which cost quite a bit more than the K&F and have stopped using it over the K&F.

Thanks for the help. That’s encouraging to know.
