Had an e-mail pop up from K&F Concept relating to their brand new 'Pro' square filter holder system.
I'm tempted to invest in a kit for my MFT gear.

I'm looking for feedback as to the product quality - I have no experience of K&F Concept's kit.

Thanks.

I have a variable ND and a polariser from K&F and have been very happy with them. A friend of mine has recently invested in the Pro square system, and I had a chance to check it out a couple of days ago. It’s a really well made, well thought out system and to my eyes appears to be very good quality. In fact, I will be investing in the system myself next week when I have the funds available.

I have a reverse Grad from K&F - its about 2/3rds the cost of my Kase filters. I bought it becuase i need one every now and then and its perfectly fine. It possibly doesnt clean quite as easily as the Kase filters and Kase claim you can drop them - I have drop one once - and they claim they wont break - mine didnt.

I would ask what filters you intend using. If its mainly ND filters then I would look at the circular magnetic type - ive too much money in the Kase square filters to change currently and do use grads so square format is better for me but wouldnt hesitate getting either circular magnetic ones .

Thanks guys.
I'm currently using my much larger Nisi system but. am attracted at having a smaller system for MFT.
I use grads a lot so it's really the 'Pro' system I am interested in.

I've got a polariser and a variable ND grad. Wouldn't buy them again, really not great and I've noticed the ND causes odd vignetting sometimes, and the polariser is hit and miss. I don't use them and will be spending more on a decent set if I start using them again.

I got the Pro system delivered a couple of days ago, and although I haven't yet had an opportunity to go out and use it 'in anger' I am VERY impressed with the quality.

It might look and feel good, but the only way to know anything about the optical quality is to actually use it!

I thought it was worth mentioning the quality, as I’ve had a fair amount of K&F products over the last couple of years and the quality has differed greatly from product to product. I bought a tripod which was absolute junk, but I’ve found the majority of their filters I’ve owned to be pretty good. This pro square system seems a few levels above quality-wise so I was impressed straight away. I will of course report back when I have some shots.

No qualms about the quality of the filters but they sent me an ND grad 4 times when I ordered a reverse grad - despite pictures to them obviously showing this they never resolved it. Their customer service sucks considerably harder than an Electrolux.
