I hope this goes well for you, but please remember...
Quotes are only a means of gaining an interview with the couple, they rarely result in a straight booking
If you get to see every couple you quote on, you're charging way way too low an amount, you should probably expect/aim for about 1 in 3 to want to see you
Of those you see, your personality & sales skills will account for more success than your portfolio (the first 5 couples I booked couldn't see any Wedding shots as I didn't have any!!!), so again, don't be despondent if you only book 1 in 3
Make sure all paperwork/contract, etc. is spot on, that not only means top-quality sheets of it, but nothing garish, all spellings correct and grammar at least good enough (get someone else to check everything and give their opinion, then get another to do the same)
Sending off a 1st quote is clearly exciting, but unless they are a direct referral (i.e. not 'cold' to you), don't expect to book more than 1 in 9 of those quoted
It can be mentally hard at first, but the time to get excited is when you've had 8 saying 'No' - as unless you're crap or charging wrongly, the next will book you !!!
