Yes
and what a beast it is compared to my modest Proline 180w flash heads.
Most of the flash default settings are as I would want them, but would it be best to set the Flash Dump to ON rather than the default setting OFF.
Appreciate any help

Congrats Dave:clap:

Hoping to go and see some lights this weekend then make a decision myself.

Regards auto-dump. My understanding is that if you turn the power down after the flash has recycled (to the previous setting) then having auto-dump on would save you having to get rid of the excess energy by firing the flash before it would then be correct at the new setting.

Auto-dump loses the energy automatically but if you were taking shots really quickly the delay may not be acceptable and so it would be turned off.

I'd probably stick it in ON given I've an idea of what you're shooting but I'm prepared to be corrected by lighting gurus:D

Thanks Dr O I will start with it ON and see the effect.
If you do go and see some lights this weekend check out the Bowens 400 and 500R.
I was impressed with the build quality against the Elinchroms so decided to build some decent kit up over a period of time starting with one 500R, umbrella and heavy duty stand
Thanks again
Dave
