This kit is a lovely well made bit of kit, glad I took the pludge and brought the pro range. Just need work them out so so many functions, excellent build quality.:lol:

I have absolutely no idea.

Was just taking photos of a frog my cat had brought in (yep, the frog - which was still alive - was getting a portrait shoot ) and the head just died.

The modelling light just went off, no lights on the LED display, no bangs, changed the fuse, changed the power cord, nothing - totally dead.

I decided I couldn't rely on the unit after that (and after checking the Bowens forum I saw another person who reported exactly the same issue in January), so had a refund from WEX (it was less than 2 weeks old) and bought a Lencarta Safari kit instead.

It's a shame, because I really wanted to like the Bowens and was about to buy a Travelpak (fortunately I hadn't) but I need to be able to trust my kit, especially if I'm going to use it for weddings etc.

Hey - mine was probably a one off (or every one in a few tens of thousands of units issue) and I'm sure you'll be just fine with yours

And me LOL, I did consider Lencarta. This kit had only been used twice, 5 months old, and £400 less than purchase price. He threw in a trigger aswell. l did google and ask on here for any know problems, but nothing to worry about apart from the replacement bulbs price OMG lol
