Yes
....from a client :D

Barry delivered their wedding package which we finished putting together about an hour ago....we held our breath and then we had a phone call to say that they were over the moon with the photobook and photos! They've not looked at the DVD yet, I wonder if they've looked at the bill?

I've even been invited out to lunch with the girls from the wedding party on the 21st :woot:

Well done, it must be a great feeling delivering a quality finished product and having feedback like that.

The only time ive had proper feedback was from a workmate, I took what I thought was my best photo yet and he hated it... I was gutted about it at the time. I later found out the reason was because it showed his riding position was totally wrong and nothing to do with my side of the lens.

aww Dreeder....must have been a horrid moment until you knew the reason lol

Well done you two! When people like the pics you've taken for them, it's a great feeling...

 Well done.
Even when you know the product is good, it's always nerve racking until the customer gives you some +'ve feedback.

Top effort Marianne (and Barry) always good to see folks getting their just rewards for a great job .

nicely done Marianne and Barry, feedback is great!

thank you, this is only the second wedding we have photographed together, we got great feedback from the first one aswell but that was over a year ago! I made thankyou cards and even some Christmas cards for this client though, really enjoyed the whole experience but you still hope the client will be happy :)

Very well done, I can imagine few scenarios where photography could be more stressfull and pressured (with the exception of Arkadys work of course;)).

Congratulations on a job well done

Congrats.
Any plans to take it up as a full time job (if you dont already)?

Wonderful! There is nothing like happy clients to bring in more.

well, we have got two dates booked for next year and one maybe.....mind you we had to turn down one because we already had one wedding booked for 28th July 2007! I did suggest that she change the date of her wedding so that we could do it but she didn't seem too impressed with that idea   We are taking things slowly, just to see how it progresses but it looks quite good so for :)

Thanks for the comments

Good job! (Let's hope they don't expect you to pay for lunch after they've seen your bill). :D

Well done to both of you, richly deserved.

Well done Marianne and Barry, Feedback is the best reward anyone can expect, Payment is just part of the job..

What a lovely feeling that must have been.......congrats to the pair of you....what a team! (In more ways than one! ;) )

Well done both of you. What a marketing advantage, husband and wife taking pictures of husbands and wives!

You mentioned photobook. Was this of the photobox variety? I was planning taking a few family shots at Crimbo and putting together a book.

Thanks HUN .... if only we were married to each it would be a distinct advantage! Divorces take an age..... :( - How we're surviving is purely down to a great relationship with deep love and respect for each other! (I blame Marcel - he's made us go all mushy in a public way )

Anyway, yep it's the Photobox variety. We're becoming a bit disillusioned with them though. They seem to have become very busy lately and their quality is nowhere as consistent as last year. We've sourced a local printer who reckons he can do better. He certainly can on the other stuff he's doing for us! Canvas stuff is amazing value for money....

It's a gratifying experience knowing the client is "over the moon". She just brought a (considerable) cheque around and was STILL smiling ;) And asked if we could do some other stuff for her :woot:

 great news and congrats to the both of you
hope you have many many more happy customers..:woot:
